Beast of Reincarnation Builds Explained: Stats, Skill Trees and Spirit Stones
Build-making in Beast of Reincarnation runs on three layers: stats you raise at level-up, skill trees you buy into with SP, and Spirit Stones you equip for passive buffs. Critics singled out build variety as one of the game’s best qualities — here is how the pieces actually fit together.
Facts checked August 4, 2026 (launch day). System mechanics below are verified; specific skill-node tables and Spirit Stone lists are being confirmed in-game and will be published as data, not guesses.
The three stats
Levelling up happens at checkpoints, and every point goes into one of exactly three stats — for both Emma and Koo, who level independently up to 100 each:
| Stat | What it does |
|---|---|
| Strength | Raises Attack and Defense |
| Vitality | Raises HP |
| Florescence | Raises Skill Power — scales Blade Arts and Bloom Arts |
Because Koo has his own stat spread, the real build space is the pair: a Strength-heavy Emma backed by a Florescence Koo plays very differently from the reverse. There is no fourth hidden stat — allocation anxiety is low by design.
Respec is confirmed. The game lets you reset attribute points (there is even a trophy, “Degeneration,” for doing it the first time), so experimenting is cheap. Commit early, fix later.
Skill trees: where SP goes
Defeating enemies grants SP, spent across two separate trees:
- Emma’s tree — her Blade Arts (active sword skills charged by parrying) and Finishers. The Blade Arts gauge fills on successful parries, so parry-heavy play literally funds your damage.
- Koo’s tree — his Bloom Arts, the tactical layer: opening the Bloom Arts menu slows time, and his skills build enemy stagger much faster than Emma’s attacks. New Bloom Arts come from defeating Nushi bosses, so the boss ladder gates the top of this tree.
Tree nodes both unlock new moves and upgrade existing ones. Fully maxing each character’s arts is tracked by the two gold trophies, so completionists will eventually buy everything — but early on, prioritising a few nodes you actually use beats spreading SP thin.
Spirit Stones: the accessory layer
Spirit Stones are equippable accessories carrying passive buffs — verified examples include increased damage while unseen, faster fire rate, and improved homing on ranged shots. This is the layer where playstyles diverge: a stealth-leaning stone set, a ranged set built around the bow, or an all-in parry set for pure melee.
We are cataloguing individual stones, their effects, and where they drop as we play — that table will be published once it is verified rather than assembled from guesswork.
The combat loop your build feeds
Whatever you spec, the loop is: parry → fill the enemy’s Down Gauge → Lethal for an instant kill on staggered enemies. Parries charge both Blade Arts and Bloom Arts, so every build ultimately wants clean defensive play at its core — stats and stones decide what you convert those parries into. For where builds get tested, see the walkthrough and the boss roster.
What to unlock first (updated post-launch)
Two days in, community consensus and our own testing agree on the early priorities:
- Helm Splitter (Emma) — the standout early Blade Art. Cheap, high stagger contribution, and it keeps working into the mid-game.
- The Battleborn mod line — unlocks your weapon’s special effects; several strong setups assume you have it, so treat it as an early tax rather than a luxury.
- Pounce (Koo) — cheap early damage that scales with the tactical slow-time layer; good value before the Nushi-gated Bloom Arts open up.
- Ranged option early. Emma is deliberately limited with sword alone before her Entanglement meter and Koo’s arts come online — a bow with even minor investment smooths the first regions noticeably.
Among mid-game directions, the community’s current favourite is a shock-focused Florescence build stacking lightning-effect gear on a Florescence-heavy Emma — the stagger synergy with Koo’s Bloom Arts is strong. We are testing it now and will publish the exact stone-and-skill list once verified in our own save.
