How Long to Beat Beast of Reincarnation: Main Story, Full Clear and 100%
Short answer: a focused main-story run takes roughly 20–30 hours; a normal playthrough with side content lands around 30–40 hours; chasing 100% pushes into the 45–80 hour range depending on how much of the optional Nushi hunting and collectible sweep you take on.
Numbers compiled August 6, 2026, two days after launch, from our own playthrough progress cross-checked against early completion reports and aggregate tracking. Early-window figures skew toward fast players — expect averages to settle slightly higher over the coming weeks.

Game Freak’s own pre-launch guidance pointed at “approximately 30 to 40 hours” for a complete playthrough — our experience matches that for a player who does side content as it appears rather than beelining.
What actually eats the hours
- Boss retries. Combat runs on a parry rhythm — if Sekiro-style timing clicks for you, you will land near the bottom of each range; if not, budget extra for the late-game Nushi.
- Exploration pace. The post-collapse regions hide skill points and Spirit Stones off the critical path. Ignoring them makes the main story faster but the bosses slower — the detours partly pay for themselves.
- Dual skill trees. Emma and Koo level independently. Maxing both for 100% requires the optional content; a story run does not.
Is it worth the completionist run?
If you enjoyed the core loop, the optional Nushi are the best fights in the game and most of the extra hours. If you only want the story resolution, a 30-hour standard run sees everything narratively — nothing plot-critical is locked behind 100%.
